The Union Township Book 2
Revolution?
Are internal plotters undermining the Union?
Who knows? The public is clueless. Judge Zeil and her top investigators—Patri, Vaun, Lani, and Evar—have only suspicions and rumors, forever indirect. Platitudes justifying criminality. Falsehoods to unlace the Union’s binding ties. But always linked to a shadowy clique: the “Sibs.”
Zeil and her team have struggled against this treason. But elections empowered a crew of Sib lackeys, who, in time, ran all five out of their jobs.
Zeil’s group fights on but is stymied at every turn. Evar is murdered outright. A Sib judge banishes Vaun to a remote weather lab. Evar’s partner Stin is crippled by grief. Patri wangles a post with the rebels themselves, where his duties prove repellent but not unlawful. And nobody knows where to find Lani.
Can Zeil’s team waken the Union to its danger? Will the Union act while it can? Or will its two centuries of mindful rebirth end soon, crushed by Sib-backed techno-barbarism?
